ABOUT OUR COUNCIL
Council number 12983 works closely
with our home parish of St. John The Evangelist in Vancouver, providing
funds for various youth programs (including High School Senior Scholarships), St. Vincent DePaul, milk for Share
House, numerous parish improvement programs, Parking Lot Security and other activities..
Steak and Crab Dinner
Time to start thining about the Annual Steak and Crab Dinner. The date is set for January 29, 2011.
Parking Lot Security
The security of the parish parking lot depends on many volunteers to be successful. Encourage non-Knight
parishioners to participate and volunteer for a shift at least on a quarterly basis. Jerry Andre is the point man with this program. Jerry

Operation Appreciation
The latest Holiday installment of Operation Appreciation was a great success with a total of 100
pounds of goodies, snacks and clothing sent to three seperate service members and a Marine detatchment in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as an ophanage in Kabul.
The success was due to the overwelming generousity of our parishioners.
Raffle Ticket Sales
The raffle ticket sales are wrapping up this weekend (August 14-15). Please turn your ticket
stubbs and funds into our Treasurer Clarence Ames.
COUNCIL 12983 RECEIVES A DOUBLE GOLD STAR FOR 2008:
During our November meeting Washington State Director John Walker present our council with with Double Gold Star.
