ABOUT OUR COUNCIL
Council number 12983 works closely with our home parish of St. John The Evangelist in Vancouver, providing funds for various youth programs, St. Vincent DePaul, milk for Share House and numerous parish improvement programs just to name a few.

PARISH YARD SALE
Once again we are approaching the last half of August which brings us to the Parish Yard Sale. Last year's yard sale brought in a record amount of money which as usual went to St. Vincent DePaul. This year will probable be another big year and we need everyone's help. The more help, the merrier. Even if you never helped before that should not stop you as there are a bunch of good people that will welcome your help. If you can bring along a few strong teenagers and young adults that would be even better. This presents a great opportunity for the youth to volunteer, witness and be part of this effort of good will.

NOTICES:

Our council has received the prestigous Council Double Star. To celebrate this achievement there will be a reception 7 PM Friday, December 28 in Vogel Hall. A state offical will be attending this ceremony to present our council with this award with the reception to follow afterwards. Spouses are invited to attend.

Each K of C member is asked to sign up at least two candidates for membership before July 2008. For the last year our council has won the Double Star Award, nationally recognized to be among the elite, for recruiting. Lets strive for even greater growth with everyone's support.
