COUNCIL INFORMATION

COUNCIL MEETINGS
Meetings are NORMALLY held on the first Thursday of each month at 7 PM in the Fireside Room. The October meeting is on the second Thursday (October 8th) starting at 6:30 PM.

ABOUT OUR COUNCIL
Council number 12983 works closely with our home parish of St. John The Evangelist in Vancouver, providing funds for various youth programs, St. Vincent DePaul, milk for Share House and numerous parish improvement programs just to name a few.

Steak and Crab Dinner
Thanks to all who helped to make this a success.

February Pancake Breakfast DATE CHANGE
This month's pancake breakfast has been moved to the second Sunday (14th). Please pass the word on to all other Knights.

Parking Lot Security
The security of the parish parking lot depends on many volunteers to be successful. Encourage non-Knight parishioners to participate and volunteer for a shift at least on a quarterly basis. Jerry Andre is the point man with this program. Jerry can be contacted via E-Mail at:jkandre@comcast.net

Operation Appreciation
The latest Holiday installment of Operation Appreciation was a great success with a total of 193 pounds of goodies, snacks and clothing sent to eight seperate service members in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as an ophanage in Kabul. The success was due to the overwelming generousity of our parishioners.

COUNCIL 12983 RECEIVES A DOUBLE GOLD STAR FOR 2008:
During our November meeting Washington State Director John Walker present our council with with Double Gold Star.
